How We Work

The Partnership’s agenda is driven by data, and positions are reviewed and voted upon by our Council of Governors. We are a 100% privately funded organization and our strengths are tied to our research, our relationships, and ability to provide a neutral meeting ground to advance the work.

Leadership

Using our collective voice and influence, we take on the region’s greatest challenges, collaborating with partners throughout Tampa Bay to achieve what no one individual or organization can accomplish alone.

Research

We conduct objective, data-driven research to shape our policy positions and track our progress toward shared community goals.

Public Policy

Regional issues are addressed and prioritized based on our available resources and the ability to make a positive impact. Issues are studied in detail to inform policy solutions. We convene subject matter experts, and regional and national partners active in the work to learn best practices. Task forces and working groups under the Partnership activate initiatives, projects, and policy solutions.

Advocacy

Our relationships with local, state, and federal elected and government officials are an important and effective tool in addressing Tampa Bay’s most pressing challenges. We have earned a credible reputation for providing objective, nonpartisan thought leadership on our priority issues, allowing us to foster collaboration, find common ground and help impact policy decisions at home, in Tallahassee, and in Washington, D.C.
