Scott Fink is President and CEO of six automobile dealerships in the Tampa Bay area, including Hyundai of New Port Richey, the nation’s largest volume Hyundai dealership.
Fink started in the automobile business in 1985 as a marketing manager at Ford Motor Company. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, and graduated from Wagner College (Staten Island, NY) with a degree in accounting. Fink left Ford in 1989 and became the operational partner at Clearwater Mitsubishi. Fink grew the dealership to consistently rank in the top 10 in sales volume from 1989 to 1998, reaching the number one volume dealership in the nation for the years 1994-1995. In 1996, Fink and a partner purchased Clearwater Toyota and he operated the dealership until 1998, when they sold both Clearwater Toyota and Clearwater Mitsubishi to Sonic Automotive. He operated the dealerships as Vice President of Sonic Automotive through early 2000 then departed the company.
In 2001, he was awarded the open point for the Hyundai brand in West Pasco, FL. This point, Hyundai of New Port Richey, had an annual planning volume of 600 new vehicles. In 2015, they sold over 6,700 new Hyundais. This sales mark is a franchise record that still stands today. Additionally, Hyundai of New Port Richey is the number one sales efficient dealer for Hyundai in the United States. The dealership has been the largest volume Hyundai operation in America for the last eight years in a row.
Since opening Hyundai of New Port Richey, Fink and his business partner, David Frazier have grown their dealership operations to include: Hyundai of Wesley Chapel, Mazda of Wesley Chapel, Chevrolet of Wesley Chapel, Hyundai of New Port Richey Certified Used Cars, Volkswagen of Wesley Chapel (open 2018) and Volkswagen of New Port Richey.
Fink is married to Kathleen and together they have five wonderful children ages 23, 22, 21, 11 and 11.
He has played a leadership role in the Hyundai National Dealer Council, the Hyundai Southeast Regional Dealer Council, the Tampa Bay Advertising Association and Hyundai Hope on Wheels, and serves on the boards of Metropolitan Ministries and St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation.
