Rhea F. Law serves as Chair of the firm’s Florida offices, a member of the Board of Directors and co-chair of the firm’s Diversity Committee. She focuses her practice in the areas of higher education, economic development, government, environmental law and land use.

With more than 30 years of experience, Law provides assistance to higher education institutions and assists clients with economic development incentives and government agreements. She also handles entitlement, permitting and zoning matters with specific emphasis on commercial, industrial and residential mixed use developments throughout Florida. Law specifically focuses on the developments of regional impact, sector plans and the establishment and operation of community development districts.

Highly involved in civic and charitable work, Law has held the top leadership positions with many Florida based organizations including the Tampa Bay Partnership, Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties. She was appointed by Governor Bush to the board of the Florida Council of 100, where she served as chair.

She was selected by her peers for the Florida Super Lawyers list consecutively since 2006, and she was listed as one of the Top 50 Female Lawyers. She has also been selected by her peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® since 2006, noted as a leading Zoning/ Land Use lawyer by Chambers USA from 2004-2015 and selected for the Florida Legal Elite Hall of Fame from 2009-2015.

She has garnered an AV® Preeminent distinction, the highest available mark for professional excellence from Martindale-Hubbell’s Peer Review Ratings.

In 2013, Law received an Honorary Doctor of Business Administration Degree from Webber International University and the Honorary Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine.

Law is a frequent lecturer on economic development, environment and land use and law firm management topics.
