In January 2019, the Tampa Bay Partnership’s Regional Talent Working Group, in collaboration with research firm TIP Strategies, released a regional workforce initiative implementation plan: Tampa Bay Works.

As its first step, the Partnership will identify two employer collaboratives (groups of businesses with a common workforce need) to pilot an employer-led, demand-driven workforce initiative in the Tampa Bay region.
This effort will provide a clear target for our educational institutions and workforce organizations, by identifying current and future demand for jobs, and the specific skills, certificates and/or degrees those jobs will require.
A Request for Information (RFI) has been issued to select the initial industry sector and/or talent cluster.

The Partnership will host an information session on Thursday, January 24 from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. to explain the RFI in more detail and answer questions from interested applicants. To attend this session, or request an additional information about the RFI process, please contact Peg Walton, Executive Director, Tampa Bay Works, at [email protected] or (813) 872-2808.
