Software company breaks ground on new HQ

Tampa Bay Business Journal - March 27, 2006

Quadrant Software, a software development company that relocated from Taunton, Mass., last summer, has put down roots in Temple Terrace.

The company broke ground Monday for its new world headquarters in Temple Terrace's Telecom Park.

The 10,000-square-foot, $2 million facility will be located at 13405 Telecom Parkway North, part of the Verizon (NYSE: VZ) SmarkPark, a full-service, underground communications system.

Quadrant's relocation to Tampa was the result of Florida's Qualified Target Industry Tax Refund incentive program.

Gary Langton and Peter DePierro founded the company in 1990. It offers paperless process management services to companies like Chevron Corp. (NYSE: CVX), Abbott Laboratories (NYSE: ABT), Amgen (NYSE: AMGN), Bacardi-Martini, Bank of America (NYSE: BAC), Collins and Aikman, CVS/Pharmacare (NYSE: CVS), Staples (NASDAQ: SPLS) and others.

Through paperless process management, companies can automatically create and manage digital business documents like invoices and purchase orders that are delivered to customers and vendors via print, fax or e-mail to reduce expenses, increases productivity and improve communication.

Besides its Temple Terrace location, Quadrant also will operate sales offices in Atlanta and London.
