Cryo-Cell adds space for education and training
Tampa Bay Business Journal
Cryo-Cell International Inc. said it would establish a Center of Excellence adjacent to its corporate headquarters in Oldsmar.
The company said it signed an amendment to its lease for 700 Brooker Creek Blvd., and would occupy an additional suite of about 9,600 square feet for a training and educational facility.
The Center of Excellence is expected to open by October. Cryo-Cell will use the facility as an event center where the company will organize a variety of pregnancy and parenting-related education classes and professional seminars. The center will be equipped with technology that will facilitate distance learning. Cryo-Cell said it would partner with hospitals and other health care providers on programs.
The center is designed to position the company as more than just a stem cell bank or service provider, but also as a partner and resource to families and health care practitioners, Mercedes Walton, chairman and chief executive, said in a release.
Cryo-Cell (OTC BB: CCEL), based in Oldsmar, is a family cord blood bank.
